Get to Know Model Eve Close

Get to Know Model Eve Close

At VienneMilano, we love to feature fabulous women who also happen to be our customers, models, or ambassadors. That is why we decided to feature Eve Close. Eve Close is a wonder of a woman who works as an Art Director and is also a mother of two. Get to know Ms. Close in our interview, and see her work in our Fishnet Stockings Under Ripped Jeans blog post.

How did you begin modeling?

For me, modeling is an intersection of two things I really love: movement and design. As a lifelong dancer, I've always been interested in movement and form. As a professional Creative Director, I have an appreciation for how imagery and design can build bridges between brands and their audiences. So, modeling dovetails these interests nicely. I gave it a try out of curiosity, and as it turns out, I really enjoy it!

Tell us about your modeling career.

My first modeling experience was as a member of my dance company. We did a shoot capturing our movement and it was fun for me to be on the "other side of the camera" rather than where I typically am in my professional role. I then did some fine art shoots capturing movement over time on analog film. The collaborations were so rewarding, that I approached NEMG Modeling Agency for representation, and was thrilled when they signed me as a fitness and lifestyle model. Today, I work with fashion and fitness brands, helping worthwhile products and services connect with consumers. To name a few: Boston Ballet, Betabrand, and (of course) the fabulous VienneMilano!

What was your experience working with VienneMilano?

I participated in a casting call and loved meeting the women there. There was a vibe of support and body positivity. I stayed in touch with Vienne after the casting and welcomed the opportunity to showcase some of VienneMilano's amazing products. I have to admit: I was a die-hard tights girl before I tried thigh-highs for the first time at the casting. I was completely, and utterly converted. I couldn't believe how comfortable and flattering they were and how well they stayed put. And of course, they made me feel like a total vixen.

What are three words you would use to describe the feeling of wearing thigh highs?

Sexy, Comfortable, Mischievous

What are three fashion essentials?

  1. Comfortable, funky heels
  2. Super-flattering well-fitting jeans (I love black or olive for the season)
  3. A flattering, feminine-cut jacket or blazer
